Easy Unagi Don (Unagi Rice Bowl)
A simple yet flavorful dish of perfectly cooked unagi with a rich glaze over fluffy rice.

Ingredients
- 1 pack Churo Unagi (Ready to Cook), 380G
- 1–2 bowls Japanese short-grain rice (sticky rice)
- Unagi sauce
- Sesame seeds
- Spring onions (chopped)
Instructions
- Cook Japanese short-grain rice and keep warm.
- Ensure unagi is fully heated through before serving. Choose one method:
- Pan (Best Taste): Heat pan on low–medium with a little oil. Place unagi skin-side down, cook 3–4 mins, flip, then cook another 2–3 mins. Add sauce and let it glaze.
- Oven / Air Fryer: Oven at 180°C for 8–10 mins or air fryer at 160–180°C for 6–8 mins. Cover with foil (oven) to prevent drying.
- Microwave (Quick): Cover with a damp paper towel and heat for 2–3 mins.
- Slice into portions and place over hot rice.
- Drizzle extra sauce and top with sesame seeds & spring onions.
Serving Suggestion
Serve immediately while hot. Pair with miso soup or a light salad for a complete meal.
Note: As this is a ready-to-cook product, ensure the unagi is heated thoroughly before consumption while avoiding overcooking to keep it tender.
